streamlining apparel for cyclists
Here is a recent innovation for cycling.
The rider wears a 'pregnant' jersey which directs the air below the torso, below the crotch, and through the legs below the seat for a cleaner extraction.
The leg fairings are already out there

The upper arms could be similarly streamlined,as well as a turtledeck fairing sewn onto the jersey's back.

Interesting aerohead. Looks like a pregnant waterbottle too! How about a sharp edge on lower jersey for clean breakaway, like the rear of formula one helmets?

That's not real. There is no range of motion for the thighs. And the team name is scribbled on with a marker.

He is right. There have been no "jersey fairings" in UCI races, and if someone tried it, the UCI would almost certainly disallow them (like they disallowed the proprietary bottom-bracket bottle for the P4).

Absolutely!
An electric carving knife goes through foam rubber like butter.Enclosed in a zippered fabric envelope, the foam fairings can be sewn onto clothing,or just stuck on with Velcro.

Sure jersey fairings etc are outside most rulebooks but what if?
there is huge potential for lowering drag by fairing the arms and legs. Its funny looking at the level of aero in the bike... the seatpost, the tubing, the wheels, buddies helmet, shoes... crossing his hands! But not much improvement to the clothing. It would be tough to make something comfortable enough for a time trial but there's the challenge.
