A TDI VW Jetta and one of the smaller, older Airstreams can hit 30-mpg. All the comforts of home and then some. A Casita trailer with boat tail would be another winner. And far more practical (safe) than a stretched car.

With a TDI and some veg oil conversion, your footprint would be lower than in a hybrid.
