Possilbly selling the VX, whats it worth?

Just wondering opinions on how much my car is worth. Its a '94 white vx 5spd with a/c, 145k. The body isn't in great shape with rust above both rear tires. Brand new tires, New full exhaust, new o2 sensor, also did plugs/wires/cap/rotor/fuel filter. New drum/disks all around. Car has been nothing but reliable in the 18 months I've owned it. I was getting 48mpg summer and now around 40 with mainly city driving in this freezing weather. I was thinking of 2500-3000? Thanks for any opinions.

well the body and paint make up most of the hit with the price. My Jeep was 2000 bucks, and the body was rustless. I had 123,000 miles on it when I got it. I think if I sold it now the most it'd be worth would be 3000 flawless?

Of course, people will pay that price right there for a car like that, especially since its cheap on gas.

I'd buy it... if I had 2.5K bucks... but with the economy now... I don't know. stuff isn't worth what it was "5 minutes" ago.

And that there is the crux of deflation. I've seen some people sit on diesels for a few grand, but w/ gas at ~$1.50-2/gallon, possibly lower w/ a global recession on the horizon, thousands of dollars worth of premium isn't very appealing any more.

As long as the rust isn't a huge hole, and it's still at the "fixable without replacing body panel" point (less than 20 cm^2 on each side.), maintenance is kept up, and it has proper mileage on it, with no other obvious damage, it should be easy to cap about 3K from it. Considering that 4th gen Civics still sell for 1k-1200 around here, and 5th gen's are a little higher than that, and you live in a more expensive area than me.

Harrisburg-ish, Pa here.

the price on vx's has dropped as gas dropped, but not at the same rate, gas was around this same price when I paid $1,200 for my vx and I bought it on Ebay so I feel like it was reflecting what people were willing to pay for them.
yours has low miles, and if everything is truly working then that is a good sign of being cared for, new stock exhaust boosts the value over someone with a race header.
but really, why are you selling it?
