"low profile" will reduce the efficiency of the fan, and reduce the fan's CFM per RPM. But if you're cramped for space, do what you have to do.

The answer to your question would be "a truck". Probably a truck with a sideways engine. Minivan? Dodge Sprinter? Head on down to the U-pull and check it out. You'll probably come back with two small fans instead.

Flex-a-lite does all manner of electric fans. It ain't cheap, but they're some of the best.

Have you checked the junkyards for a wrecked van like yours, that's maybe a decade or so newer? I think the fan on my gasser full-size Ford van is electric, and it's a 98.

did some recon today what i found was in transverse V6 vans, the lumina vans had the largest about 18" dia and relatively low profile, fords had the second biggest made by whowouldathunked: Bosch. no mention of CFM anywhere
but they were all loop type. will have to try the "newer car" yard for only an additional $2 next time. how much conductive cooling happens to the "rods"
near the blast radius of a fan. 1/2" out, 1" or more ????
