I did not write YouTube mostly suggested clickbait and reaction videos, I claimed that was the majority of its content. It does not usually suggest much of either category to me, but I definitely saw more in a private tab.
...and worse things.
People are stupid.

Who knows what it all is that they upload. This source from 2015 says 500 hours per minute.
As an ex-IT-type, I find it mind boggling. Github just weathered the biggest DDOS in history. I just discovered DuckDuckGo has a Safe Search:Off option.

I do not understand why some sites seem obsessed with playing videos. Do they think that will make my eyes glaze over and their ad revenue to flow in? YouTube is the place for that stuff, but when I went to CNN I was speedreading, not trying to kill time with colored photons.
I wish I could find SLPA results without far more SLP false positives. Putting it in quotes does not seem to make any difference, despite that being the entire point of quotes. I have also tried to filter things with the minus sign. Some sites seem to ignore that.

Youtube: Speakers at 1.25-1.5x, dancers at 0.75x, pole dancers at 0.5x. Wall of text goes straight to Mac OS Summarize text.
Make up a backronym for SPLA and search on that? Southern Poverty Liars Agency?

Try to avoid YouTube. Unfortunately, some people will put links to video in threads, without any indication that the target is a video.
Don't think I have a "Video tab". Not entirely sure what one of those is.
Unfortunately, adding "-video" to a search string only eliminates things with the word "video", not actual videos. |

Actually there are actual alternatives to Youtube. So that's too specific. Maybe a browser extension that blocks by file type?
