My wife just commented today that Dave Rubin is annoying to listen to, which seems crazy to me considering I'm at least a million times more annoying than he is. Dave has one of the most calm and well enunciated voices I've heard. She also said that Ben Shapiro talks too fast, which is also crazy since she prefers TV shows where women prattle off at ludicrous speed. Somehow she found Jordan Peterson to be tolerable; that after falling asleep for the first 45 minutes only to wake up and find that he had just begun speaking on the topic at hand. His style does typically start by explaining everything since the beginning of time, leading up to the topic. Thorough, but tedious.

The first time I saw an unboxing video, I thought it was a joke, like posting a video showing paint dry. Now I'm not so sure, because there are an awful lot of unboxing videos.

I do not understand why people want to watch others' reactions as they open boxes.

Why aren't videos of people flossing equally important? "Oh, that is a bit of steak from last night. That was delicious. Ow! That spot is sensitive!"

I categorize speakers on whether they are listenable at 1x, 1.2x or 1.5 x speed. As I listen with fingers hovered over the j/k/l keys. Captioning when available, even for my own language for spelling of proper names.

I'll check out Joe when I get a chance. Mostly I listen to podcasts since the only free time I get is while working out, driving, or laying in bed. I'd listen to Youtube if I could figure out how to keep the audio playing while my phone is locked.

I have to listen to Jordan peterson at 1x, and still miss stuff because a moment of losing focus means I've missed something important. Ben talks too fast as it is, so it's already like listening in 1.3x speed. Maybe I can listen to Sam Harris at 1.5x. Too bad the iPhone doesn't have an inbetween speed as I think 1.25 is generally good.
