Suggestion box

Did not where else to post this. Hey you need a suggestion box.

I know you're still working out bugs. Is there and easy way to get back to the main forum once your in one section?

Never mind I figured it out.

Suggestion:

Since discovering the 'true' cost of owning my Geo Metro, I'm considering only driving my car in the winter time and walking/riding my bicycle in the summer time. I was wondering if we could also create a log for other vehicles (such as bicycles) where we can track the distances travelled and add them to a 'total distance travelled' for all vehicles in the garage? This way we could have a 'collective' MPG number for our modes of transportation.

For Example, say in one week I:

Drove my Tempo 200 miles and filled 6.1 gallons (32.77 MPG(US)),
Drove my Metro 400 miles and filled 8.2 gallons (48.78 MPG(US)), and
Rode my bike 20 miles and didn't use any fuel at all ('Infinite' MPG(US)).

Therefore my 'total' fuel economy would be 620 miles travelled and 14.3 gallons of fuel used. This would equal 43.36 MPG(US).

This would encourage people to ride their bikes a lot more and use their cars a lot less meanwhile they get praise, so-to-speak, for doing it!

I would love this site to pieces (and possibly never leave) if someone added this feature! I'd love to start riding my bike 50 miles a week and driving 20 miles a week and showing off that I'm actually getting 170 MPG(US) collectively. Please give it some thought!

Hi Peakster. Nice to see you here.

No need to think very hard about that suggestion. It was already on the to-do list.

It's just a question of when. If you can be patient, I think you'll like what you see developing here.
