What do you think on the logo + text v. just logo on the front?

I like what you have (just add .com to ecomodder) for the upper Back of the shirt and just a small 'E' symbol on the front (left front chest area).

On the back we're planning on putting the "ten ways to save gas" business though, to make it a little more interactiveyishness.

In that case, just the logo on the front. IMHO

My input: In the top 10/20/whatever, definitely say something about adjusting the nut behind the wheel, instead of just mentioning driving technique. That's my favorite line I've yet seen on Ecomodder.

Start with a small batch of maybe 100 or so, then if they sell quickly, you'll have an idea of how how many to get. Or make an order per hundred commitments.

Not sure if you have it on this batch of t-shirts or not, but in future ones, you might want to make sure to have the ".com" on the design, so people know right where to go on the web.

Otherwise, people might assume Ecomodder is a club or brand of shirt, rather than a great web page where you can learn to drive smarter. Of course if you talk to them, you would tell them all that, but I have a feeling these t-shirts are going to end up in lots of photographs that will be out on the web.
