Will. i. am's custom Tesla Model S

A Beverly Hills evening find.

Black Eyed Pea's Will.i.am owns a car tuning body shop called, I.Am.Auto (West Coast Customs, builder?). He is an obvious fan of Teslas, he has owned the early Roadsters and a few Model S models. He transformed one of them and created an "iPad/iPhone on wheels." He took it apart, the interior and exterior wildly reimagined and created his luxury dream car. Typical SEMA-like expressive work; extreme stance, deep dish 'flat' wheels, illegal tint, huge widebody kit, suicide rear doors, rear vents and the largest & expressive 'fake' grill?
Ludriculous-ly insane!

That is crazy. It's like a sci-fi movie prop car.

Sorta like a stock BMW I-8.

Looks like form and function

And looks like hes been looking at our site .many features we modd into our rigs are done . And much better than cardboard duct tape, and bailing wire.

Would love to see this in the wind tunnel.
This is a perfect example of a modder pushing the limits. (I'm assuming that aero and improved handling were designed criteria.).
Dreem big chisel down to reality.

I can't imagine there is any function here. I find myself closing openings on my car, rather than making air intakes for no reason.

1 minute 30 sec — Look! Squirrel!

At least he didn't screw it up like that poor 1958 Beetle.

Not to mention the Delorean.

I read that article... WOW, talk about a wealth gap!

At least the Beetle wound up with an aerodynamic bottom on the chassis!

Aside from solid wheels and dropping it as far as he can, he (sorry--his shop guys) didn't do anything we do to lower drag, and instead increased it, probably pretty significantly. The upswept spoiler at the rear, the massive increase in frontal area, the pointless giant side intakes--I'm curious just how much higher the new CdA is.

Anyone else remember the old Pontiac "wider is better" commercials?
