I never thought of it like that, those vent windows have been around a long time. I want to make window blocks that are much taller to get more flow out of them. I just haven't taken the time. When I do make them, I will do a writeup on them, maybe people would be interested.
As far as the transition goes, I will have to look at how you did the cardboard kammback again and try to mimic that. I thought you had one angle... working with Coroplast makes arcs hard and angles easy... I guess it's the price you pay for cheap. Maybe I can make "Phase I" the 10deg slope with the trunk able to open, and "Phase II" a 15deg extension that goes further back the vehicle... I actually like this idea a lot...

My grill block must be about the right size for the current conditions since I was in heavy stop and go traffic yesterday and the fan occasionally kicked on and ran for a little while and turned off. I think I may be looking for a different foam to use, since this stuff just soaks up water like a sponge. I am thinking maybe black pipe insulation... any other ideas?

just curious, but i noticed you said 15000 mile oil change?
the problem with oils that claim a change interval like that is that usually what makes oil changes neeeded is the filter, not the oil. No matter what the oil bottle says, there arent any filters out there that last 15000 miles. Especially something like frams, that use cardboard endcaps and a cheap pos bypass valve
Just a recommendation, based on info from a NASA driver with a pro license, and a engine engineer from a major auto manufacturer

The oil is Mobile 1 fully synthetic 15000 mile oil. I buy the 5 quart container, but only use 3.5 in my car. I buy 5 oil filters at the same time and change them every 3000 miles, and use the extra oil to top off what I lose when pulling the filter. I have run several oil changes with this oil, and am just getting to yhe point where I feel comfortable REALLY going 15000 miles on a change. Up to now, I was changing the oil at 6000, 9000, and 12000 mile increments. When I drained it last time with 12000 miles and the oil had color left, I figured I would try 15000 miles.

i believe the oil can last that long, the filter is the problem. When the filter gets full (which its pretty much maxed out at 5000 miles, which ive seen in person from cutting them open after use) all of the oil ends up going through the bypass valve, and none of it gets filtered.
It may last and never have anything happen, to me its just more of an insurance thing. My dad ruined 2 fully built v-8s as a kid, one from dirt in the crank oil galleys from the machinist, and one from letting the oil go too long (filter stopped working and oil quickly got too dirty. Everything he put together from then on was clean enough to eat off of, and he never lets the oil go past 5000.

I almost never run across locals on my forums.. but I like very odd vehicles.
I keep noticing Metros since I have joined the forum... I figure I will own one in the near future...
