Template Dimensions

Anybody have a x-y coordinate table for the Hucho template?

I am attempting to reduce it to sheet metal and need to generate a full-size pattern.

Bolus Papoose

Silver Streak

I owned one of those years ago.

Here's a cutting pattern for a non-template boattail.
That's the best I can do painlessly.

I have not seen xy coordinates on this site. But there are detailed notes in hyperlink #551 on this thread:

http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...c-9287-19.html

You do realize I assume that you will have to resize the numerical data to fit the max height of your vehicle. The Template measurements are made from the ground, not bottom of car or any other ref. This has been the technical position of the author of the template.

Hey Dave, When I built my aerocap a few years back I made full sized drawings printed on large format printers at Kinkos and a local blueprint/drafting type shop. They were relatively cheap.

The drawings were based on MS Word Draw images which I converted to PDF files at 1/10th scale. When they printed them, they chose a 10X print size and Voila. The final product ended up within 1/8th inch over the largest part which was sure close enough for my world.

Here's what I had printed.

Based on this side view.

It looked like this.

*Note: These were made before I had learned about the template, so the final product was sloped too steep. It still worked OK.

Here is the last picture I took of it.

Uh..It burned good....smoke was sorta greyish.

I never had a precise measurement, but I noticed an uptick in my MPG by about 10% and the handling in the winter icy roads was remarkable, it really made the truck more stable at highway speeds. It just felt planted and wanted to go straight compared to the many "Grab the seat with my butt cheeks" moments I'd have without it on wintery roads.
