Plugin-hybrids would really benefit from batteries that robust, full electrics are not cycled so hard.

It's been a year, and here's what's new with Tesla's battery tech;

So they're switching to LiFePO4 in the Model 3 SR+ it seems. This will allow the higher density batteries to be utilized in other products such as the semi and longer range vehicles.
