Tesla...e-boat?

Elon Musk recently confirmed that his cars float well enough into a boat for short periods of time, even with some thrust and control from drivewheel rotation! He just saw a recent video of a driver taking his Tesla Model S through a flooded tunnel. The Models S calmly passes by disabled 'flooded' ICE cars. It is probably safe to say that it was sealed from internal flooding (Elon Musk did say their Tesla's are bio-weapon sealed) and the batteries were safe from water intrusion. Wondering when the next fully 'submerged' Youtube entries show up!

No way was the Tesla floating. The cars ahead weren't in too deep of water, and none of them should have had issues. Air intakes are high on most vehicles, and the only way to flood it in that shallow of water is to carry too much speed while entering, which pushes water up into the engine bay where the intake is.

Had they eased into the water, everyone would be fine. In fact, most of them could probably start up again and continue driving once the soaked air filter is removed, assuming they didn't pull so much water into the engine to cause hydro-lock.

Yuppers, Royal Navy Commander Bond needs a submersible...or maybe Tony Stark needs one in his fleet.
