At least it inspires. He could have used the customary ballast lump of steel and nobody would have spent a thought about it.
If it all goes well the lunar buggies are no longer the most remote cars.
Wonder if it could actually drive on Mars? Too cold there, I guess, but other than that?

Interesting thought. Does the M3 have a heating system to maintain battery temperature? I know the Bolt does.
I can think of no reason why it wouldn't function on Mars besides the battery being too cold. Perhaps the motors would eventually overheat due to lack of cooling from the thin atmosphere, but then again they wouldn't have to be pushed very hard, and the temperature is very cold.
That makes me wonder how the Lunar rover rejected heat. It essentially operated in an insulated vacuum. Of the 3 ways to reject heat (Conduction, convection, radiation), only radiation is possible in the vacuum of space.

Uh, sorry, but volume DECREASES exponentially with increasing radius...ie: inverse square law!

Are we trying to misdirect people, LoL. Of course I'm talking about volume of space, and not volume of sound.
Quote:
Notice that for any increase, x * l or x * r, in length or radius, the increase in surface area is x squared (x2) and the increase in volume is x cubed (x3). For example, when length is doubled (i.e., x = 2) surface area is quadrupled (22 = 4) not doubled, and volume is octupled (23 = 8) not tripled.

Does that amplifier go to 11?

It was the amp or Spinal Tap.
I thought it was funny there was an amp building company that associates volume to the 3rd power. Shows their background.
But of course, 11 is just more volume

And back to Teslas, Their radio volume does go to 11 as a reference to "Spinal Tap"

One is x³ and the other k^x, two completely different things!

To fully disambiguate:
x³ = cubed or third power
3^x = the power of 3 ( exponentiation)
The volume increases with the third power of the radius, not exponentially like the radial power of 3.
Don't worry about polluting the universe. It is incredibly big compared to that tiny speck we call Earth, of which so far we managed to poison just part of the outer skin.
