Is there a way to set subscription preferences?

I usually just use the quick reply option when I post to a thread and so I'm always getting the email alerts because I forget to unsubscribe or change the subscription option. Is there a way to make it so that replying to a thread doesn't automatically subscribe to it. I've looked in my settings but I couldn't find anything. And I usually am on ecomodder enough that I don't need anymore encouragement to check back even more frequently

User CP > Edit Options > Default Thread Subscription Mode
