Thieves
Best guess on the make/model and year of this vehicle?
I've left my garage open probably a hundred times by accident and technology malfunction since I've moved here and never had an issue.
Thief rummaged through my cop neighbors truck last night. Didn't steal anything from him because there was nothing to steal, but we can tell from this photo he found something in the neighborhood. Accompanied by his girlfriend. Dummy parked dead center of my camera, but fortunately for him it's not good enough at that distance to make out a plate. I've got audio too, so that squeaky passenger door will not go unnoticed.
Hoping this gives my wife the motivation needed to sign off on my technology upgrade wishlist.
Daytime is much better

I have a strong dislike for thieves.
My wishlist has ED-209 on it.
Hopefully the “ glitch” has been sorted out...
😈
Seriously.
Around here cameras mean little to nothing. The cops will ask if you know who’s on camera and if you can identify them. If you can’t, they’ll tell you to contact them when you do. They don’t have time or resources to track anybody down for petty crime. Even if caught, little if anything will be done to them.
You’ll need to figure out another way to “discourage” improper behavior...

Scott Adams was saying how in CA it's not even really a crime anymore to shoplift. Apparently, if someone is "only" filling a bag full of stolen goods and walking out, that's not even something to call the cops about. But, if you're walking around without a facade of a mask, that's the big crime, and employees will aggressively enforce that important "law". So, if you don't want to be hassled, just fill a bag of stolen items up and walk out.
I saw this in Portland over the weekend; they had about 6 police busting people for doing 65 in a 55, meanwhile a man with a mini sledge hammer was hurling it at the bus shelter and screaming at the top of his lungs how he's going to tear everyone to pieces. Across the street a mentally ill woman was harassing the only normally adjusted people (with small children) I saw and disturbing random businesses, which had no patrons. Biggest problem Portland has is those darn speeders who are ruining the city. Everyone looked to be in despair, and my attempt at friendly engagement just fell into that hole of despair. Mind you, all of the crazy stuff I witnessed was within a 10 minute window, so this is a constant across the city.

So your saying that the public with the means prefer to spend as little time as possible traversing the area.
I was in a Walgreen's a while back and there was a female shopper there who was keeping an eye on me. Odd because I'm normally invisible. Once she had filled the basket, she went to the checkout and 'returned' the items and walked out with cash.
I asked the cashier if she'd shown a receipt but he didn't care to answer.

Too few grille teeth for a Jeep. Wheels match.
It looks like a Thule add-on to the standard roof rack. That narrows it more. What dark colors did they come in?

Wish I knew my equipment better so I could force it into color mode at night. So far the kids got a 6-pack of Coke and a flashlight that we know of. I despise thievery, but these dopes are young and have an opportunity to learn not to be trashy people. I mean, even I might make it one day.
Officers stopped by to get a look at my footage, and one of them instantly said "early 90s Jimmy".
After my jetski was stolen, I promised nobody would profit from (direct) theft from me again. Every successful heist reinforces the behavior and breeds the mayhem in the community.

Yeah, my garage door got kicked in as well as a basement window to the house. Perps (ex-con who hasn't been corrected yet) got caught stealing a BIG item from another property when their trailer failed to haul it. But I'm not going to tie that in to masks or Trump or Ottawa. See ya.

Correct. The S10 Blazer and S15 Jimmy are identical except for badges and front grill. The 4-door wasn't available until 1990 and the body style changed to the 2nd generation in 1995.
This is the GMC S-15 Jimmy
I'm still amazed to see a vehicle that old on the road let alone without huge rust holes. My first vehicle was a 1987 GMC Jimmy which was purchased used in 1991 with blown engine. By 1996 it had fist size rust holes in the rocker panels.
Salt - the enemy of vehicles.
