I fill the tank once every 3 or 4 weeks only, so have made it routine to top em up at the same time. They are only losing about 2 or so PSI so haven't needed to do it weekly.

I check mine every few months, when I am checking other things on the car.
I used to have the tire pressure valve caps that changed color with a 4psi drop but I haven't been able to find quality valve caps like that around, the ones I used to have were from Napa, but all I can find now are plastic junk.

I was checking them once a week but with pizza pans on the wheels I only do it once a month or so. I would rather not unscrew the bolts any more then needed.

I pumped mine to 65 ish, I think that will keep them above 44 for a while
