I agree with you, even though I have seen so many cars and even commercial vehicles (supposed to follow a stricter maintenance schedule) fitted with some old tires clearly in need of a replacement that I wouldn't be so scared at all. But as I said a few times, I'd rather get a set of new bias-ply tires from a reputable brand instead of gambling on used tires, remould or any obscure Chinese brand.
