Toyota iQ Practically Begging to Come to the U.S.

Okay, I know this isn’t official, but I couldn’t help but stop and take a picture when I saw this today. The picture was taken out at a Toyota distribution lot in the countryside outside of Kumamoto, Japan. It is a busy lot and the stock is always changing. This is the first of three times [...]Related posts:

Hi Ben,

I geddit: there’s a red, white, and blue one! I want a white one (for it’s going to be cooler inside), especially if they make it into a hybrid or an EV! This should do better mileage than a Smart, have front wheel drive, and fit 3 adults (and maybe 1 kid), too!

Darin didn:t get it, he is silly.

I have seen more iQs on the roads here than Smarts, which I guess makes sense, even though Smart has been on the market longer. I am not sure where the Smart dealership is because I havent seen any on the Mercedes lots but I am sure it is close by.

Now if you'd posted a photo of a red, white and red one and said "Canada" in the title, I might have gotten it. Maybe.

Hi Benjamin,

I'm curious about some of the details: the hoods on all 3 cars appear to be cracked open?

Can you tell a reason why?

Does the rear trailing edges look like they have crisp edges; as in like the new Prius? One picture I saw had a small "wedge" on the back of the rear quarter window -- is there something like this on these iQ's?

Any other pictures you can take (from various angles) would be very welcome!

Ill get pictures next time I see one. These are like 20 miles from my home.

I think the dealership keeps the hoods cracked for easy checking on stuff so they dont get inside the car and get the interior dirty

Hi Benjamin,

I found a picture of the current iQ ("cubed") that shows the wedge on the back of the rear quarter window:

I want one! Now! Please?
