The FE is better than a Miata, albeit barely. Curb weight might be 2700lbs stateside since we measure with a full tank vs half a tank. But the aerodynamics really surprised me. Any comments?

They'll have no trouble selling this if they can undercut the genesis coupe. I'll wait for the turbo.

No turbo mate. Check the compression ratio 12.5:1! Subaru is working on a new turbo engine for their WRX/STI but chances are slim this car will ever offer a second engine option.

Needless to say the HP guys are crying over it.

Direct injection FTW!

The engine might be turbo converted(or have the CR in creased) by switching the DI part of the fuel system to ethanol tho.

Note: The mileage number is from the Japanese test, the EPA-number is likely to be significantly lower.

Strictly speaking its both port and direct injected using the Toyota D4S dual injection system and will switch back and forth depending on load and speed, but yes it was direct injection (and the addition of 5-8% more air mass inducted at the beginning of the cylinder charge) that allows for higher compression ratios on regular fuel without detonation, pre or post spark auto ignition, etc.
