Trying out some basic stuff, looks very promising
Today I made a road trip across the mountains, with the speed limit being ideal for economy. Much of the road is at 50, the rest 55 and just a few miles at 60. I kept it well under 60 the whole time and took it easy up the hills, made the most of the downhills, Kept out of the boost as best I could.
About 20 miles into the trip I realized I could fold my mirrors and did so.
So far it looks very promising. I have 310 miles or so on the clock and the fuel gauge seems to be stuck at a half tank!!
Tomorrow I think we'll head out to the beach lot. I have about 800 pounds of trex decking I picked up today to deliver out there. Unfortunately, those roads are all either 60 or 55. I'll drift on up towards 60 but keep the rest going the same way.
That should get me to a reasonable fill up at around 540 miles.
I'm shooting for something in the mid 20's, not bad with half the trip with an 800 pound load, over a 4500 and 1800 foot mountain pass.
