I have 3½" to the tow hook, for clearing traffic control bump strips.

The air dam adds frontal area. Less work and less effective than a full bellypan.

Full belly ban is best.

Next is to lower the vehicle as close to the ground as possible and then do a front air dam also as low as possible.

Tall vehicle with air dam, not that good and could make it worse.

Instead of an air dam, try a diverter. The air dam just extends the stagnation point downward. A horizontal plate will split the airflow and limit the air that goes underneath from the stagnation point.

Plus a little downforce.

What battery configuration does a Tahoe Hybrid have? I've been eyeballing this company, although I would need some way to heat the battery in the Winter. In California that may not be necessary. But with some three times the usable capacity at half the weight it seems like a good idea on paper at least.

https://projectlithium.com/

it gets down to 20F sometimes in the winter average is 30-35f at night and upto 110f (90F ish in the shade were it's parked) in the summer time (I can use the A/C and it can take in cold air from it)

it's like winter time (inside) with the A/C full blast...

they do sell it for the tahoe..
https://projectlithium.com/products/...pack-20-blocks

this would give 3-6 miles range on the EV side this would significantly increase my MPG to 26-27

it's rated 1-2 miles on EV

I saw a free bumper on the side of the road is it worth getting ?

so far I have two items that are salvageable
