I was on my way to Bath from Syracuse. Was tempted to go through Watkins Glen either on the way there or back. But did not.

Yes, we were on our way home and it was roughly 1:30pm on Saturday the 16th. We ran straight up Rt14 to I-90, then east to Syracuse.

Intermission time is over and now begins: Highlights of the 2016 Green Grand Prix.

This year was a full field of roughly 43 vehicles. This was an afternoon run with sunny conditions in the upper 60's. There was a gentle occasional breeze. The track surface is brand new. The cars were in two lines and ready to proceed onto the international raceway.

The line of cars continues even beyond the photo. Team mloveland78 with the boattail Civic, and UltArc/Sheepdog44 piloting the Aerostang are just out of view.

At this year's Green Grand Prix, UltArc Teamed up with sheepdog 44 in the Aerostang.

UltArc was all business! Judging from this photo, there was zero doubt the target of 50 mpg was going down!!

The Aerostang ate up the new asphalt. Here's a superb action shot - just look at that rocker extension kissing the new track coming out of turn 1!!!

Wow, awesome! I never get to see images of my car, I always end up taking photos of others cars...I love that shot coming out of turn one! A half second earlier and there may have been sparks...I may or may not have been scraping...every time...lol (only about 75% of the time...maybe).
