If the Accord PHEV works for you, there's a good chance a plug-in Prius (PiP) will as well. PiP has the same interior/cargo volume as a normal Prius/Accord plug-in, and I've seen used PiPs for as little as $13k. The only difference compared to a normal Prius is a smaller gas tank and way less storage under the rear floorboard.

To tie up this thread, I got rid of my turbo shifter sedan and now have a Bolt. So far after a few days I'm very satisfied with it. The sub 7 second 0-60 and the incentives are what pushed me over the edge.

That, and also each of the used market gas models that interested me all had issues/risks I wasn't comfortable with.

Some of the new car options also had issues.. if I'm going to have electronic throttle lag, electric steering, may as well go whole hog eh. I'd swear this homely Bolt is more responsive than many cars out there with a 'sporty' image.
