Using phone wire for mpguino built with arduino uno

Does anyone know if i can use phone wire for the four connections to the mpguino using an arduino uno? the wires are insanely low guage, I cant even twist them without them flopping back limp. What kind of amperage can this phone wire support? I got the idea from the prebuilt one but this doesnt seem possible cause these wires i need like a magnifying glass just to see them. I could barely strip the wire. I dont know what kind of amperage the mpguino needs...anyoen have any other ideas for a nice neet cable that i can use to plug in with. :t urtle::tur tle:

The arduino itself will only use about 30mA. The display won't use much, but the backlighting for it will be the main hog. Still, its probably pretty minimal. My guess is you'll be fine.

Just be sure you don't get a short in any of the wires (protect them from getting damaged), as the coating is pretty thin and a short will melt through and then you'll have all sorts of gremlins...

A standard phone line can support 4 watts of ringing telephone. They are so thin to make them flexible. You should be fine
