vacume guage & scanguage question

excuse my ignorance im new to combustion engines, i want to install a vaccume guage so i can monitor my engine closer and so i can accelerate at the most efficient rate, if i set my scanguage to MAP will this give me the same kind of readings the vaccume guage will give me? thanks !!!

Yep.

Most cars can give you an actual load as a percentage of power, its LOD on the SG, dunno about the UG.

It depends on the ECU programming. Some engines give you actual engine load as a percentage of power currently available. Some report the load of the engine versus maximum power output. I think most are the former.
