Cool !

Crossing the US in 3 days will have quite a few people frowning ... but doing it in an EV is simply epic.

San Diego to Jacksonville is part of a certified motorcycle challenge. The Iron Butt Association isues badges fo various accomplishments such as 1,000 miles in 24 hours and 2,000 miles in 48 hours. He is attempting the CC50. Coast to coast in under 50 hours. The EV won't make the time due to periodic recharging but it will be a record in it's own right for an EV of any type. I wonder if a Tesla could charge fast enough anywhere to even keep his pace. He has six chargers and six battery packs for a combined 250 mile range. Looks like all of that new found volume under the big bodywork has been put to good use.
.
And he is apparently in Arizona already.

Craig Vetter's team has streamlined a ZERO electric motorcycle. Terry also increased the batteries and chargers. He is now on his way Coast to Coast. This is the future of personal transportation.

There is someone else who is trying to brake the current electric motorcycle record and I suspect that these guys put together this motorcycle just to show them up and they are showing them up a 2nd way by not having a support vehicle with a generator for recharging, the lack of any kind of support vehicle is impressive.

Supported with a generator would totally invalidate anything they are trying to accomplish in my view. Terry already rode cross country the other way to get to California with a stock bike with 1 added battery pack and charger for a 70 mile range. Now he has a 250 mile range. Maybe more. I can't wait to see his consumption data. I bet he is way under 100 Watt hr per mile.

Just through on Facebook (well, 11 hrs ago):

Hi Facebook friends. I have a small problem. I am in Houston TX, less than 900 miles from completing the first ever coast to coast electric motorcycle journey, and I have had a motor problem. No fault of the motor, the sprocket bolt I installed when I changed the gearing a while back came loose and caused contact with the swingarm bolt, which put pressure on motor shaft causing a cooling fan failure. I am working on a repair, but if anyone is in the Houston area and could reach out to me, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks - Terry
