I feel way behind. I've worked the bugs out of the system and have gotten 30mpg (or higher) on my past three fill-ups. I have a stealth upper-grille block. Now it is time to move on to even MORE aero-mods!

only mods are scangauge and 45-50 psi tire pressure. (I do have an engine block heater and oil pan heater, but haven't used them much since weather warmed up.)

Tango, I recently found your story, and I read it all. I thinks your mods are awesome and Olivia looks great. You have inspired me to make a grill block and smooth wheel covers! Keep up the good work and good luck with your objectives.

A.J. if you like this one take a look at my thread:
http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...tml#post213040

I also have several more but I get 52 MPG out of my matrix (sister car to the vibe).

Kitt:
Keep up the good work. you will get better and better MPG as you work at it.

postmac; the SG is something I'll never out-grow. Can't do without the instantaneous feedback. Congrats on 40!

Thanks, AJ! I'll be looking for your thread documenting the mods...

Kitt; If you're only getting 30 out of a Vibe, you need to tighten the nut behind the wheel. You'll see a much larger increase with a change in driving habits, than you will with a boat load of aero mods. I'd be consistently getting over 40...if I only had more self-control! Ha ha!

I lost the anti-chaffe tubing on the front wheel covers on the way home from Idaho a couple months ago. The rear ones are still hanging on. When I fabricated and installed the covers, it was cold out, and I didn't get a good coat of paint on them. They're starting to rust now. I think I'm going to have to make a version 1.2, or see if I can clean them up and repaint them.

Welcome, FEET_ !
I'm glad you find the thread inspiring. I'd be more than happy to give my two cents worth to any questions you may have. I would highly suggest that you enter your Vibe in the Garage and start a fuel log. It really helps to motivate you to do better.
