Video: GM EV1 corporate vid on Autoline site

Found this vid about the EV1 on the Autoline Detroit web site:

Blast From the Past: A look back at the EV1 - John's Journal on Autoline Detroit

It's a corporate look at the car, goes through its features.

I learned a few new things. (The "coastdown" button on the gear shift lever didn't do what I would have guessed - it actually engages regenerative mode with deceleration similar to downshifting a conventional transmission.)

It's hard to believe these cars were on the road only about 6 years ago.

Awesome video. I think it's pretty sad that if they reproduced the ev1 exactly how it was it would probably be one of the most advanced cars on the road.

Why dont they put it back into production with updated electronics and possibly lithium batteries?
They have already done all the development on it.
