I wonder which stock/affordable windshield would be a simple section of a cone.

Base would be around 48 inches diameter (width), the top dia about 30 inches.

Very expensive, but one that might be smaller width is the Lotus Elise windshield .

There's new class of race cars which compete at Le Mans and places like that.I Peugeot and Audi are running cars in it.
The cabins are very narrow compared to overall body width,like GTP cars used to be.
Maybe one of those would be around 48" at base.Don't know.

Cam-aero windshield

This is a cut 'n paste thought experiment from 2005.
The glass is from the rear hatch of a 1995 Chevy Camaro.It's close to an ideal form,however,being constructed of safety glass,not laminated safety glass,it's completely illegal for on-road use.Bonneville won't allow it either.
