Nice belly pan, Man. That should help your aero underneath quite a bit.

I sure hope it does! For what the thing cost I will never be able to pay for itself in savings, but I'm a sucker for OEM parts that get the job done. It's just one more piece of the puzzle in getting this thing to do what I want without making it stand out.

Just logged the worst FE since the TDI install. This was also the hardest continuous driving since the install though, so no surprise here. Drove from Stockton, CA up HWY4 to Carson City and then across I80 to Wendover, UT and did 75+ ans sometimes a lot faster... got 52.1MPG. Time to back off the throttle a bit and get the average back on track.

But we did get a cool picture of it with the rear end all finished up:

Nice pic, Man. I think this falls under the YKYAEMW... 52mpg is "bad".

Hey, nice car. I'm thinking about a tdi swap into my mk2 at some point in the future.

One thing though. I'm using a diesel mk3 gearbox which 'only' has a 0.717 5th gear, but would like to try a higher one if possible. I've heard of a 0.681 (from the 4x4 transporter t4), but nothing as high as your 0.622. Can I ask where you found it?

There was a group buy on TDIclub. I think Aaron at BoraParts can get them too.

Who knew 5 seats, acceptable acceleration & decent MPG could look this good?

We've known it all the time on this side of the Atlantic

Golf TDi's and GTD have been around in many guises, ranging from ricer trash to restrained and classy.
I'm glad you've gone for the latter option
