Hey everyone, I already put the ngk plugs in. i am now trying to figure out what spark plug wires I should install. I have been looking on the internet and people see to think that its either the ngk HE76, thats what the ngk website said. And the ones that I have currently are the sumitomo 16 something... so if anyone has done a proper tune up recently or just knows which are oem and best. and where to get them cheapest and any other advice that would be great. oh i ordered my new sumitomo htr t4 last night, that should help too!

You can go with the HE76 wires, they will work for you VX. I am currently running the 04H NGK Power Cables. The Power Cables have the lowest resistance of any plug wire available for the Civic <300 Ohms per wire as opposed to the typical 5-6K Ohms I've read on the OEM Honda wires and other aftermarkets.

I'm not sure if the HE76 wires are any lower resistance than other OEM wires, but the construction quality is good.

If I may ask: what is the price you were quoted for the HE76?

I found the HE76 for about 57 bucks at the cheapest place. with free shipping.
i priced the power cables and those were expensive!

About $52 is the best I can do shipped to your door for the HE76 plugs as well. And about $100 shipped for the Power Cables.

thanks tom o i think im going to go with the ngk HE76. I found them on amazon for 46 bucks. hope the new wires make a difference. that and I need to check the gapping on my plugs

Just remember that most resistor plug wires have resistance for a reason: To cut down on RFI (Radio Frequency Interference). Having low-resistance plug wires isn't necessarily the best thing, though it may not be bad either.

I agree with you Dave, that was part of the reason that I wanted to test the NGK Power Cables for any noticeable RFI. Luckily, I haven't noticed any RFI in the year that I've had them on my VX. I think it has a lot to do with the way that they wind the wires with a varying pitch which they claim will reduce any RFI effects.
