I'm going to be going down to the OBX next week. I'm hoping to get a trip average of 45mpg.

I'm really hoping that the weather will cool off a little bit so I don't have to use A/C at all. But with the wife in the car... you never know.

I dont understand all the obx stuff, but I do go to VA Beach as I use to live there and go to the Rudy Inlet to jet ski. I use to leave my old home in Waverly, VA and get 65 mpg in my honda on the way down 460 to 58 to 264 to 64.

Neither do I, however I don't get to pick the vacation spots.

I would NEVER go down to VA beach though. After living on the gulf coast of FL for a while, all other beaches seem "dirty".

I dont go to the beach where the sand and water is. I just grew up in the area and its neat to see how its developed. I like to visit my old homes to see how the new owner has taken care of them and how traffic patterns change.

Yes, the James River looks muddy most of the time and its full of chemicals, biological and even nuclear material.

It is so nice in the outerbanks you should go, everyone should go...

Its nice to get some friends and split the cost of a house for a week.

I only paid 1/6 Rent + 1/6 fuel + 1/6 food + 1/6 beer.

About $200 for a 7 day trip.
