Weather Recording

Well, with Winter upon us, it seems that it will be more difficult to fully understand what any one mod is doing from tank to tank. I found this weather website which gives you historical information and you can change the dates for whatever your tank was.

Weather Underground History

Put your zip code, a date and then after submitting, click custom to put whatever dates you want. You can get max, min and mean temperatures and a whole bunch of other information.

Obviously, it won't be a direct correlation to mpg results, but it can help to show why mpg might be lower (or higher) than a previous tank.

Or just buy a Kestrel meter and keep track of it yourself.

I record DA(density altitude) and RAD(relative air density) for each tank.

I have to admit, I hadn't heard of one of those before, but after seeing a pic, I have seen them before.

When I get around to putting an Arduino in my car, I want to put a sort of weather station. I'll have to look into something like this that'll work.

I really like the idea of measuring density, better than just warmer/colder air.

Spreads I've seen so far-
DA- -1500ft to +4700ft
RAD- 89%-104.5%
Air Density- .069 - .08 lbs/ft3
