I'm not sure what's to be gained in a Chrysler / GM merger. Chrysler's "star" products are its minivans and the Jeep brand. GM gave up on minivans 2 years ago, and I'm not sure adding more trucks to their product mix at this time is what the doctor ordered...

Well, with the GM bankruptcy talks and Chrysler already looking to sell out, they would prolly merge and then fire a huge amount of their work force and dump a lot of unprofitable brands/cars and get more focused. I could see it working from a business perspective.
