"I Can't Drive 55" "Dragula" "Hot Rod Lincoln" "Going The Distance" and pretty much any AC/DC are the first to come to mind...

Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Creedence, Skynard lately.
At night on highways, sometimes I get the urge for Isley Brothers, Keith Sweat, the "lay back and float" kinda tunes.
Sometimes for distraction reasons, I'll put on some lyricist style Hiphop, usually Minneapolis area artists, so I can get lost in the words.
I'm a music fiend, but I'm cool with no music too.

Lol I was looking everywhere for my '74 Jailbreak casette, then I remembered it's in the Insight in storage. I find music helps me in traffic, as in if I am sitting there anyway I might as well have something to listen to. But if things are moving along, I find it more relaxing to have the stereo off. I find it harder to stay in the right lane with my foot out of the throttle with something fast paced playing, though I think anything slow would probably just put me to sleep.

To be honest I'm listening metal and hard rock mostly when I'm driving with no safety issues with (IMHO) good results in FE. I'm thinking that listening to mellow, gentle music would make me bored and I would push the pedal to the metal just to not get bored to death.
Do you think that music that you are listening while driving affects your FE?

lol im right there with you. metal and hardcore and than the electro stations on XM. gotta be blasting it as loud as possible or you get a 1% decrees in FE

Enya, mozart, dire straits, anything bluesy, greatful dead, i take spells where just about anything can be calming if the mood is right. My whole demeanor about driving has changed...i was a speed demon at 30, at almost 60 i have slowed down just a bit...seldom exceed speed limit on the highway, often do in town. :-)

Listen to whatever you enjoy most, because the more you enjoy driving, the more relaxed and happy you'll be and the less likely you'll be to try to get where you're going really quickly and waste gas. Just cruising along, listening to music and enjoying the ride is one of my favorite things ever and I feel sorry for all those people who waste gas and get stressed out trying to get places quickly.

Audiobooks rented from the library. I feel smarter by the day. Nonfiction of course.
