What is our mission statement?

Hello -

I want to know, what is Ecomodder about? In some magazines or institutions there are little blurbs devoted to its creation and what its goal will be over time.

To me, the name "Ecomodder" implies using our "gearheadedness" to improve fuel efficiency "for the environment".

The mission statement does not have to stay exactly the same over time.

Is it written somewhere else on the site?

Thanks,

CarloSW2

We sure do have a mission statement! It's currently sitting in draft form waiting to be polished up and posted. :P

You've got the gist of it right, though: ecomodders are green gearheads.
  • people who are interested in improving efficiency either through: tinkering with their vehicle or adjusting the nut behind the wheel
  • we'll welcome people who want to focus only on their vehicles, or only on driving skill ... and everyone in between
  • as for motivating factors, "eco" does imply concern for the environment, which many of us have...
  • but it also hints at our "eco"nomic concern: the desire to save money by spending less on gas / fuel
That's it in a nutshell. Watch for a more polished, fleshed out version to come.
