They're not marked in Km? Do you have to do the speed conversion in your mind? LOL.

Nothing to do with speed, our speedos are in MPH. But since we sell our petrol in litres it leads to a lot of mental arithmetic to convert into gallons! Either that or I grab the nearest calculator.

Wow, I thought the UK was all in Metric units. So much for that idea... LOL.

Well, we are and we aren't - officially we're both. Add on silly EU legislation and you have a rather confused place!

Wow. So the UK goes both ways, eh? (Kidding!)
I hate it when I get people that only know one measurement system or the other. It's such a PITA, especially when you have to keep going back and forth because you work on this car or that. I prefer that everyone know at least some of the simple conversions if I'm going to work with them.
Things like 1/2" 13mm, etc. They're not exact, but they work well enough that they're mostly interchangeable.

Now now, we didn't all go to boarding school you know!
Although I did, but don't you say another word!
But yes indeed, it's helped my mental arithmetic no end! I find it handy to know metric, Imperial and American units, it's a bit like learning another language really. Half the time the conversions are really easy so there's no excuse :P

Dude , when you buy a real bike that can travel long distance at high speed your not going to save money , Maybe on Gas but you will be forever hooked on buying accessories. It never ends !

On a 2005 Suzuki DR200 on mostly gravel roads I got 3L/100km 78mpg averaging around 50 mph. As long as you stayed off devided highways with high speeds this was a great little bike.

Now days mpg data for new motorcycles may be listed by the manufacturer on their websites ie Kawasaki, Yamaha. The "Motorcycist" site lists fuel economy data also. Most motorcycles have a drag coefficient of at least 0.6 much like a mountain bike.

Have you tried synthetic oils? higher tire pressure?
