Wow, Daniel - impressive numbers! I saw a lot of smaller displacement bikes when I was in the Azores (Faial) early last month. A friend who has a 250CC scooter here in Canada commented how attitudes to engine size are much different compared to North America.

The only local police we saw was riding what we thought was a 125cc (2 stroke) dirt bike.

it is funny, but the other night I was running some errands and had like 5 people comment on my bike (1974 cb125), they all seemed a little envious, especially when I told them it was garbage picked though there has been a steady stream of $5-$40 purchases to get it semi-road worthy.

My last tank was maybe 90mpg, it can do better I'm sure. I'm getting the hang of kick starting it reliably when the cross light goes yellow.

Purupurupurupurupuru....

You guys make me jealous with those small displacement bikes...
But at least I'm over 80mpg with almost continuous 2-up riding on my last tank. With these (probably worse RR) tires. Hot weather helps of course.

Hey alvaro, how you going?

Just to you guys know, here in Portugal, each liter of gas, costs 1.50€, it means 2.1$ for each liter of gas. The low displacement bikes is the best way to travel city and country roads, and, for a 125cc 4 stroke, it has lots of power across the rpm range

I will increase the tyre pressure a bit, and my poor mathematic says that this bike, in idle with the engine cold, spens 7.5ml of gas each minute, and my calculations says that i could travel 400 meters with 7.5ml of fuel

Ok, i stop with my math

I don't do much math, except I looked up that gas is ~1.4€ per liter here.
Heck, I don't even know the idle fuel consumption of my bike. Among the many other things I don't know

Lol

Just curious, where do you live?

Tomorrow i will know the consumption of 5L of gas. Maybe 1.49 or 1.50L/100km, because 20 or 30km was with 2 passengers, wide open throttle.

Just look below my avatar: I live in Hungary. And we don't have Euro now so I have to do the math every time - exchange rates constantly change...

Jealous !?! Sheesh, you`re squeezing out 20 - 25% more from each gallon than I am, and with over 50% more displacement than me! On the bright side, I have just about the only bike I know of that can fit a large pizza under the seat
