I haven't seen that IPA out on the West Coast, but it has 8.5% alcohol and the can shows a bunch of hops on it; I'm sure it's delicious.
On a side note, my wife got accepted to OHSU, so we're staying in PDX. There was a chance we were moving to Salt Lake City, in which case I was prepared to dust off my brewing equipment and bottle my own.
I might have to do this anyhow.

Miller Lite in the throwback bottle for me lol. Love Rum and highly recommend "Kraken" to anyone on the fence about giving it a try.

I'm more of a Scotch drinker, but I dabble in rum. Kraken isn't very smooth, but then I was ruined by cheap Flor de Caņa while in Nicaragua. It's drinkable straight out of the bottle. If mixing with Coke, then I'd just get whatever is on the bottom shelf in the half-gallon size.
My Scotch pick; 10 year Laphroaig single malt Islay, served neat at room temperature.
Other single malts on my shelf include Glenfiddich 12 year and glenlivet 12 year. Johnny Walker Red also has a place on my shelf.
One of my mixed drink creations is called a Hot Buttered Slippery Whippie Nippy. It consists of hot buttered rum, slippery nipple and whipped vodka mixed together and served hot after spending a day snowshoeing or skiing.
Mostly I'll just have a local IPA or Stout when I eat out during the weekend.

I don't drink. But back when I did, it was vodka. Everything else can burn.

What would an old mechanic drink?
A Screwdriver of course!
Told the wife 25 years ago, I would have no problem with never having another drink for the rest of my life.
I guess when I realized I was a happy drunk, then I realized I was a happy sober, I found the expense unjustifiable. I think I have had 3 screwdrivers twice in the last 6 months or so.
regards
mech

My local liquor store has a growler system now. you can buy a 64oz Growler for $6.99 and go fill it up with local fresh beer right out of a keg!! $11-$16 per fill.
I dont really drink to get drunk too often unless it is a holiday or my birthday or I get a day off after 10+ days. I dooo love some local fresh brewwww
