WI: Earth Day Alt. Car Show - April 24th, 2010

Hey Everyone!

I am the coordinator for Greener Oconomowoc's Alternative Car Show, part of our local Earth Day Resource Fair.

The show will feature electric, PHEV, and vegetable oil vehicles. The owners will be on hand to answer any questions you have. We will also have a several dealers, the Milwaukee Electric Car Club, and the Milwaukee Hybrid Group members there.

If you want to visit this free event, come on out!

Ooooh, what could be more cool than a PHEV?

It would be pretty cool if I could bring the mower out too. I suppose I just need to put a trailer hitch on the Prius!

We are trying to gather the biggest group we can of Electric, Hybrid, PHEV, NEV, Bio-Diesel, Greasecar, and EcoModded vehicles we can get.

If you are anywhere in the greater Milwaukee or Madison, Wisconsin area, come on out!!!!

i just need help in transporting the cycle there.

i'm not sure if the cycle will still be at UWM, or if it will be back in my possession...either way, if someone is willing to help me get it there, then it will be there

We'll find a way. Rich has a trailer. My cycle fits in the back of my pickup truck with the tailgate down.

Thanks to EVeryone who came out to the Alternative Vehicle Show!

Rain wasn't fun.
My big tent got crushed by last nights thunderstorm (thank goodness I bought the insurance on the rental....)

We got by with a couple of EZ-Ups.

Attendance to the event wasn't bad considering the weather, and we even had a little EV area set up inside where it was warmer and drier!


(That charging station was charging the Lithium EV Scooter outside.)







We also had the first Hybrid School Bus in the state at our event!

See the giant plug on the side? It's a plug-in hybrid!

I was trying to NOT call it a car show. We also had a hand-made fossil-fuel-free boat inside, as well as an electric lawn mower from the local hardware store.


The Milwaukee Hybrid Group booth was giving out info on improving fuel economy, selling ScanGuages, and saving people gas.
