Wind powered ships?
What a wonderous time to be alive.
https://clean-energy.thebusinessdown...nergy-vessel/?
Almost like we're going technologically backwards.
And people wonder how the pyramids and the stone vases of Egypt could be predynastic. Well we are seeing it right now.
The dark ages weren't the first dark ages.

It's got it's own little mini-me tender/lifeboat.
But I don't see where it's wind-powered. It's a wind energy industry service wessel.
There's a popular catoonist who says that people can't tell good news from bad news. One person's 'dark age' is another's 'Golden Age'. Energy embodied into metamaterials can [possibly] decimate total energy requirements.

800 gallons of gear oil and hydraulic fluid then another 1,300 gallons of transformer oil on each pad mount transformer.
https://youtu.be/9oDXQfMapfA
These look like gen 2 tuebines, basically fractal megawatts of power.

It's sad, really.
A properly designed wind mill would be an immense partial sphere with an oculus. Tangential vents all around the bottom, impellers at the constriction at the summit, and a rotating downwind exhaust.
You could drive trucks through the ground level vents and farm the interior.
Bucky Fuller said that the main advantage would be indoor maintenance.

Could be worse. In Hawai'i the people living off-grid had their houses burnt down by downed powerlines (allegedly).

Wind company pulls plug on 2 massive offshore east coast wind farms. Even with negotiating with Iran levels of money, (pallets of cash) they still wouldn't make any money.

Tangent; just discovered Snowy 2.0 as a suggested YouTube video. The pumped hydro project in Australia was supposed to cost 2B, but is likely to come in at 20B when completed.
My question is, why do tunnels need to be underground? Can't the pipes be on ground instead?
