is winter gas gone???

So at the height of my 'modding" winter gas shut me down. 23-24mpgs were the norm. on level roads.

Today I was driving back from Walnut Creek Ca to Sacramento CA - about 60 miles- and said to myself "hey why don't you slow down to 63pmh and check the Scangauge?" (I know, can you believe I actually said "63mph"??? )

I saw that the SG's mph were off about 4% compared to my Garmin GPS so I went into setup and adjusted the mph to match the Garmin.
I also cleared my onboard mpg gauge.

I know thay my car mph is off about 3.4% because I run 255/45/18 tires instead of factory 245/4518.

*******NON-SCIENTIFIC RESULTS ABOUT TO BE POSTED********
THe scangauge reported 29.3avg mpg while the car reported 26.4 avg mpg.

THose were the best avgs over the last 4 months.
So before I get toooo excited ......
does anyone know if the gasoline blend has changed back??

winter gas is physics. Maine is dramatic. I even spew diesel.

A 270 mile trip last evening, and it is proving to be well on its way back to oxygenated and light...ignoring the 7F degree freak low coming up soon, it will not hinder the changes.

The bigger cars need a keen eye to catch on to the winter gas subject..not many 2+ liters even quibble over it, even here in my locale.

What

In response to the original question, I wouldn't think it would be gone yet, but I guess it could be in your area (I am in Missouri where we don't get good gas until May).
