After a few weeks commuting 50 miles each way on the new Michelin X-Ice 2's, I find that they handle GREAT, pretty much like summer tires. Just a slight bit noisier but nothing like other traditional studless snows I've used in the past.

These seem to roll nicely. MPG has been down for me but we've had rotten wet weather here, and the car has had oil burning/tuneup issues too. I think they're very close to summer or all season tires as far as rolling resistance.

No snow yet here. Coming, I'm sure. If not, I'll have to do a road trip to upper New England just to try them in snow!

I saw a slight frop in the mpg but not much considering its more f a safety issue I look at it as a black and white area mpg is great but sliding into a ditch or off the road and injuring ones self might not matter at that point what your mpg is as your car will be useless. Sounds harsh but thats how I look at it. My old winters were Dunlops that held up fairly well went through some really deep snow and had little problems.
