Would it be worthwhile to part-out Dad's F150?

In Va a vehicle that is stolen goes through a salvage auction if it is not recovered in 30 days, could not have a scratch. Most car theives who are remotely successful drive very very carefully so they don't draw any attention. then when they draw attention and run, the car is the least of their worries.

Repos are usually trashed, or neglected or both. Is that not the case with the truck in this thread, both trashed and neglected.

The truck drove well, we replaced the windshield, I bought new tires, and cleaned it inside and out, which was time consuming, but there were dents that were beyond my skill to repair, and probably other issues.

Mostly we are concerned with whether we can keep Dad's car. Whenever I look at job listings everything says that you need to pass a background check and have a clear driving history. After seeing a few listings, I feel a great need to clean my room.
