Yo!
Thought I'd get on the board and introduce myself.
I'm a tuner by heart: I love to race cars and am working on opening my own garage/tuning shop. However, while I love to burn gas and make smoke on the track, I've been told I drive like a grandma the rest of the time.
My daily driver is a 93 Nissan Sentra SE-R that I'm going to tune for better MPG's, and while I'm familiar with and practice hypermiling, I'm here to read around, get ideas and take the car to a better level. Hopefully I can get some ideas and insight, and at the same time contribute a mechanic/tuner's perspective on stuff.
My friends call me Red for short, so feel free too!

Hey Red - welcome to the forum.
Glad to see you'll be using your powers for good, not evil. (Kidding)
Coincidentally (or not?) we have another forum member - Mike Kamm (blownb310), from NY - also a racing enthusiast who's also into economy with a '93 Sentra SE-R. He competed with it in at least one economy rally he organized this summer, scoring 60+ mpg (US) on the course.

Thanks for the welcome guys.
Haha I'll try to use my powers for good around these parts!
I'm familiar with Mike/blownb310's car from over at SR20Forum.com. Very impressive, and very inspiring to me! In fact, my car's even black like his, though minus the nice headlights.

Hi Red,
I used to have a '96 B-14 SR20DE SE-R. Now I'm trying to eke mpgs out of the QR25DE.

Red Lion -
Welcome to EM! My co-worker has that same-gen Sentra, but it's a bit more threadbare than blownb310's.

Perfect. My advice to start then is: do what he's done.
