You know you're an ecomodder when your wife posts on facebook, "My husband is obsessed with the mileage he gets on his truck...seriously ridiculous obsession."
And the sad fact is that she probably only knows about 25% of what I do (no visible mods)!

YKYAEM When you read about the Canucks Stanley cup loss, and come across this picture of the riots only to think " Wow, what a nicely done underbelly on that car."
Looks to be a Fusion from what i can make out of the grille

YKYAEM when you take a 5.5L twin-turbo V12 for an "aggressive" drive, at the end the trip computer says that you got 0.8MPG over the EPA highway rating.
It really demonstrated to me that how you accelerate is not as important as how you decelerate, the "aggressive" was all in the starting, I hardly used the brakes as just allowing the car to slow itself down in gear is so normal for me now.

Yes that was a fusion.
YKYAEM if you see a picture of a Ford Fusion being tipped over in a riot and hope it's not the hybrid version.

Yeah, an '04 S600. My grandfather had a foot operation and can't drive at the moment, so I get to take it for a spin every week or so to keep the battery charged .
Beautiful car in every way imaginable, but I could never justify something that burns so much gas (let alone the purchase and maintenance costs). I've been getting 17.8-19.2MPG on the ~10mi route I take it on, which is pretty amazing considering what's under the hood.

You've obviously never owned a sports car. I drive my Geo like a grandma to save fuel, but drive my Supra hard and frequently cause the rear tires to erupt in smoke and cause the car to go sideways, including while on the freeway.
YKYAEM when you laugh at the guy at the gas pump next to yours that says he gets decent mileage with a straight face when saying that 14 MPG is good (brand new Ford Explorer). I couldn't help but laugh when he said how short of a distance $20 got him compared to my Metro.
... when you spend less than the guy at the other pump with the new SUV and went atleast twice as far on what you just filled up with.

YKYAEM when after half a tank you're still able to make your DTE increase.

YKYAEM when you find that you're constantly leaning forward in your seat, giving the car a body language push during your glides.
