Do banana seats have a big handle in the back?

At first I thought that one could strap the wedgiemaker to that big handle rendering it harmless, but you could strap it to the supports of every bike that I have seen.

This seems obvious to me, but I didn't think of it for a day, until you mentioned a banana seat, and nobody else mentioned it.

Sure, things seem obvious to some people, while others never think about it, but what did that criticizer think was the setup? How would the wedgiemaker make wedgies, if wedgiemakers could make wedgies?

You strap it to your underwear?

You strap it to your pants?

It comes with special wedgiemaker shorts that you attach to the wedgiemaker and don to enable the wedgiemaker to make wedgies?

I just don't have any idea how it could be a wedgiemaker.

Why wouldn't it strap to the back of your seat?

It does.

The strap opens up like a hammock because presumably you would rather have a hammock chair than a strap against your back.

So, this is what you get when people want to mock things they don't understand.

I still think it is a terrible idea, but it is the LeafXPro, whatever that means.

I put 'wedgiemaker' in quotes because I don't even.

It's been a while since I posted this:

World's shortest stop sign. I'd call it the sissy bar. It's handy for lifting the front wheel to navigate parking situations.

Mr. Who's the Boss has tons of videos reviewing new technologies and he showed a solar umbrella with a built-in fan. Unfortunately, the website doesn't exist [anymore] and I couldn't find anything similar, just solar umbrellas and umbrellas with built-in fans.

Never the twain shall meet [again]?

I asked cyclists how they handle stopping for lights during the summer and I didn't feel satisfied with any of their answers. I certainly am not going to start riding my bike in the summer.

I thought that a travel umbrella made vastly more sense than one mounted to your handlebars. It doesn't create drag or impede your vision while you are riding and you can quickly stow it when the light changes, but I also wondered about mounting a fan to your handlebars. and now I know that I absolutely did write about this.

I guess that I didn't post finish.

Apparently I am the only person who ever thought that a bike rider needed airflow when stopped because I absolutely cannot find anything about mounting a fan to your handlebars. Of course it would be absolutely useless while you are moving, but when I searched I found fans that mount to exercise bikes (and strollers) and fan bikes--exercise bikes where you push a fan--so clearly waiting for stoplights when it is over 100° isn't enough of a problem for anyone to do anything.

Since this is the current 'bicycle' thread.

www.thingiverse.com: T-Rex Bike Seat

(Thingiverse blocks copypasta, but DDG found it on Pinterest)

It won't do much for one's head, but it would cool one's nethers.

I mounted a CPU cooling fan to my paintball mask because without it, the humid air would fog it up. Worked great and kept me cool until I got shot point blank in the face, and the blades flew off and cut my lip. It was an extremely minor injury, and I just attached another one since it worked so well.

I'd probably prefer helmet mounted cooling fans since that's more efficient than directing to the whole body, though that might be tricky and the extra weight uncomfortable.

How about a neck fan?

What's wrong with pulse and glide on your bike, along with timing the lights better so you don't stop?

I'm pro stop - start tech done right. That is with a 48V hybrid or conventional hybrid. With those types of systems the engine starts seamlessly when your foot comes off the brake and moves to the accelerator. I've also driven vehicles with 12V stop / start systems. They work but feel clunky and in my opinion gave stop / start a bad reputation. Plenty of people with 12V systems just turn them off.
