Honda will lease you a fuel cell 2020 Clarity for $379 a month. That is a little cheaper than the $389 a month for the 2020 Toyota Mirai. Both come with a fuel card for $15,000 worth of hydrogen.
I would wait the for the 2021 Mirai though. WAY better looking than the outgoing 2020 model and RWD.

Just a proof of concept but this guy makes a super-capacitor out of clay and activated charcoal. Robert Murray-Smith: Making A Battery From Mud

Carbon-based capacitors are not unheard of, even though they're more suitable for quick charge and discharge cycles.

Also suitable for what you can make out of materials from a patch of ground. And a kiln.

Even though I wouldn't expect the average Joe to make an EV battery pack out of dirt from the backyard, I can't deny it would be impressive if someone did it.

Hard not to be on team Rivian after watching this video;
Still, Ford's ability to do vehicle to home power transfer is compelling. The F150 might be at the top of my list.

Only concern with the Rivian, giant battery pack for the range... is there an electrical equivalent to the term "gas guzzler?" Someone should coin one.

I've been using 'Watt-guzzler.'

Bollinger
If I were in the demographic which COULD purchase a Bollinger, I'd have to boycott them on moral and ethical grounds.
If you're goal was to cause great injury to the vehicle electrification transition, I can't imagine a better weapon for which to affect it. Why they could even obtain a corporate charter causes me to lose all faith in mankind.

Isn't Bollinger the one that has a dog-house door under the dashboard?
