Similar situations were not unheard of before Tesla released the Autopilot. Well, at least one RV owner had a crash after turning the cruise control on and leaving the cockpit to make a coffee, as if the cruise control was some sort of automatic pilot. On a sidenote, cruise control is still often mentioned as "automatic pilot" in my country.

Heh.
Some are also singers— John Prine, Sturgil Simpson ( Turtles All The Way Down).

Sad that some comedians, who are actually not even as funny as they were supposed to be, wish to have some of their personal opinions taken seriously when they fail at their jobs (even though they make some money with silly jokes or what they believe to be a joke).

Well this gets interesting with the Nikola Badger and Lordstown coming out this month...
The Badger promised to embarrass some ICE trucks at its debut. I want to see that

Hydrogen = Automatic Failure
When I can “plug in” a hydrogen vehicle store 98% of the electricity used as hydrogen energy then in return extract 98% of the hydrogen energy as motive power without using conflict metals wake me.
Until that day of overunity I will say the battery is better

Nikola claims fuel cells make sense for larger vehicles. Not sure I agree but I'm eager to see how this all plays out. Their stock is up over 100% in the past two days.
Ford and GM are taking their sweet time. Even worse for the Asian brands.

I must confess I used to hold more expectations for the success of Hydrogen as a motor fuel, but it's been a while since I found out it won't be any better than biofuels such as ethanol and even biodiesel which are not nearly as much of a PITA to handle. Sure they may not be "perfect", neither the ICE is, but it seems like the ICE won't be effectively replaced so soon as some Europeans have been fooled to believe. EVs might remain better suited for shorter range and some specialized applications, while plug-in hybrids may increase their market share as a good balance between the advantages of EVs and regular ICE-powered vehicles.
